But how would you enforce only downloading the relevant data? How do you get only the data you think is relevant before looking at the data? It could be the police couldn't agree that they wouldn't download more than they need because they simply do not have the expertise to be able to not download it all, and then process it afterwards. At the very least, someone would probably have to look at huge chunks of the data. And depending on how UK courts work, they may be required to get everything.

In the US, you would probably still have to get it all, but the prosecutor would likely be able to limit what was turned over to the defense. And if the defense wanted more, they might be able to get a neutral third-party to look at the data and decide whether it should be turned over (or the judge might do this). I don't know if the UK has something similar where the prosecutor can avoid turning all data over to the defense.

It might be that there is no good way to handle this type of case.

Might as well listen to Rush Limbaugh - you'll get the same arguments, and the same lack of substance, as this article, but with far more entertainment.

In any case, the point he was trying to make is all well and good - the media should ask the tough questions and sometimes society impacts the flow of free thought. But it seems to Mr Taibbi only the left has this problem.

And you believe your response has substance to it? Where's your argument? Anything going through your head other than "Uoogh, he same as other guy I don't like!"

It's partly an American culture problem. I'm sure the dating game in some other countries are a bit healthier than ours.

There's simply so many mixed signals now on what you are and are not allowed to do. Is it okay to go up and talk to a girl you think is cute anymore? No one is really sure. Depends on who you ask. Go up to the wrong girl and you might end up in jail or maybe shamed by her and her friends online somewhere for being creepy.

There's also the question about consent. Having to whip out a contract for the girl to sign, confirming her legal consent to have sex is not too attractive. Not to mention the fact she can take away her consent post-sex and then you become a rapist. Girls on average find the less consensual, proactive way more sexy, but that's not something anyone would admit. But that's a cultural taboo now, so yeah.

There are literally tens of thousands of M:TG cards. Removing seven of them is hardly "ruining" the game.

Besides -- most of the cards being removed had already been out of print since the 1990s. They were effectively irrelevant to most players.

I rest my case. So the cards are literally irrelevant and are out of print and means nothing to the game as it is, and yet we have to ban them?

Shouldn't they be working on more meaningful things that will help PoC like me? 1984ing a children's card games do not pay the bills and nor do they feed my family. Nor do they fix economic inequalities.

If anything, they just made those cards skyrocket in value. Those are collector's items now. Good job SJWs.
