The actual problem here is that Ukrainian people are not a monolith. People in certain regions undeniably do want to be part of Russia, or at least have deeper ties.

This is not a Russian talking point. Authorities in Kyiv flat out concede this problematic dilemma.

Yeah, great. In reality, if you as anyone in basically all of Ukraine (except for 'little green men' and the odd lover of soviet times), you get a clear message about how they've preferred a westward cultural and economic trajectory, and that ever since the war (or Crimea, depends on who you're asking), Russia is the enemy.

> Authorities in Kyiv flat out concede this problematic dilemma.

Im sorry, but lol.

The Ukrainian people do not want further or deeper ties with Russia, period. Your regurgitation of Russian talking points just shows that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Both sides use propaganda.

This false equivalence is literally russian propaganda.

I'm not sure you necessarily want to fight fire with fire?

And I'm not sure you want to appease an enemy that is actively waging hybrid warfare with us.

Conveniently not discussing the rlhf nature of these responses.

People know that, that's not the issue. The issue is that wages over 4 years have not kept pace, which means that not only did they go in the hole (debt) during this time, but they're still either adjusting what they purchase or continuing to slide.

Debt has skyrocketed if anyone's had their head under a rock.

> wages over 4 years have not kept pace

That's a feature of the system, not a bug.

> The objective has been genocide and this is what has been happening in some places.

Can you define genocide? Can you pinpoint a difference between Russian and Ukrainian? Considering that it was historically one country for centuries, Ukraine exists only for the last 30 years.

How comes that Russia wants to "genocide" Ukrainians, but most of the refugees from the war fled to Russia and live happily here?

You are lost, brother.

> ...Russians planned a few weeks to take.

According to who? Are you intentionally demonstrating how silly pro-Ukrainian propaganda is? Russia made the objectives very clear from the beginning: demilitarization and denazification. I don't think anyone aware of that could come away thinking "Yeah, so obviously they expect to accomplish that in a few weeks."

> denazification

surprised to see this delusion on hn.
