I was looking for the multimodal LLM homelab…got really confused for a second

If he enjoys programming for the sake of it I think it’s valuable but it’s not necessary. He could also get a full CS degree for a fraction of the cost if you’re factoring that in.

The job market is bad but lots of hiring for AI positions, both research and application of AI are still in demand. But this could very well be cyclical.

No matter what someone has to train the AI, control the AI, etc.

I like the idea of them…was just reading about them yesterday but the folder to a repo concept was a little and I didn’t realize exactly what was going on so this blog is perfect timing. I regularly need to switch branches and don’t really like the stash checkout flow that I have —- too much cognitive lift for me. Maybe work trees is the answer

I like the mini idea. I want a small car thing and this might be just the type of thing that is practical for me

I just use it to store anything in small tiny notes and then use the excellent indexing and search to find what I’m looking for on my phone or laptop.

This is great, will definitely have to try this out

I’ve found that building a custom tool for yourself is now much more accessible using things like Windsurf and CLI tools - pretty interesting times!
