I write about something similar a while back https://maori.geek.nz/proof-of-human-2ee5b9a3fa28

About the difficulty of proving you are human especially when every test built has so much incentive to be broken. I don't think it will be solved, or could ever be solved.

5% success is actually way higher than I thought it would be. At that rate I suppose there will be actually profitable AI companies with VC subsidies

A BBC micro was my first computer. Americans had Amegas or something, but I had a BBC and a big book with example BASIC programs.

I wrote this post https://maori.geek.nz/small-light-robust-phones-for-a-type-1... that has a bunch of examples of small phones. The requirements are not exactly the same, but in the same boat as for want of good solid small phones.

I recommend the pixel 4a 5g with LineageOS installed, or the Q9 mini.

I tried using git notes for distributed secure reviews but hit some road block with merges. It is a good idea that has limitations that limit its adoption

Write an algorithm to maximize in app time, so he ended up building a content media platform not a social one. If the goal is to show as many ads as possible, you will always end up with more media than social

No, it isn't. Software engineering is one of the easiest careers. We are so coddled that we think what is described in this post is tough, that alone is evidence of how not tough our career is.

I think most jobs are hard, but "grass is always greener" means we focus on what is hard in our job and easy in other jobs.

Specialization hasn't occurred because everything keeps changing and specialists become either stagnant, bored or unemployable.

The size of a brick was standardized in 1840, then 1970 for metric. Let's get that kind of stability in software before we start specializing
