It's no worse than everyone over here proclaiming it was coming out of a Chinese bio-weapons lab. They're no more responsible for the virus than the US/Mexico was responsible for swine flu.

Or the Americans for trying to corner the market on a potential vaccine in development.

Housing is an essential good. Profiting off an essential isn't so great suddenly. Yes people need to rent, but many would buy if prices weren't pushed up.

People are going to be asking a lot about unfettered capitalism after this.

We are going to see many ugly examples in America before this is done.

I'm actually working toward a sort of "orthodox"-Jainism in which you only eat substances that plants are actively trying to give to other animals to help them propagate themselves (so eating fruits/bellpeppers, etc. are all ok, but killing a plant to consume it is not).

Anyway I understand that talking about animals and plants in this fashion is not a popular position on HN, and folks have and are likely to downvote me.
