Today, each one of those have fell. They each provided examples of bias exceeding my threshold. There was a shocking slip of quality in the last 2 years at all of these.
I trust none of them anymore. Journalism has fallen to their own BS.
The timeline seems to be coinciding with a certain event that happened in 2023
Except when it comes to current geopolitics that is, now we're talking delusionally right wing bias. wink wink
The UK may not be perfect but no one’s going to complain if you compare the Prime Minister or the King to a cartoon bear.
Or you talk openly about a government fuck up. Or about one part of the country maybe deciding to become independent.
You just can’t shout fire in a crowded cinema and you can’t say “let’s all meet at the local hotel at 3.30 and burn the immigrants to death” during a riot.
I’m ok with that.
But if you compare Zionism to another eerily similar 20th century europe ism, a lot of people will, indeed, complain.
We have people from every political spectrum here and they don't get banned, how can it be an echo chamber?
We have communists, free market absolutists and so on all arguing in the same comment section. I don't think I have seen any thread with many comments where both (or more) sides weren't represented.
I mean sure, they may not get banned, but start voicing an opinion that it even moderately against the status quo and you get downvoted to oblivion.
Western models have been proven to be heavily censored, under the guise of fighting antisemitism for example.
Other than, irrational, comical western propaganda, not much no.
This is the first time in my life where a western outlet doesn't try and obfuscate the fact that many of the "discoveries" made by europeans in the the renaissance period have taken inspiration from the close to 800 years of Islamic scientific research (who themselves never failed to credit their predecessors).
Typically, when you study the history of science in the west, it starts at ancient greece (who have no contemporaries) then there's a massive blackout of 800 years and poof ! The "light" is magically turned on.
Fair play to the author for not being biased.
