I have always questioned, are the guys making pizza's, working minimum wage jobs wasting their talent or do they simply have no talent? Then I came across this short video : https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4HnGbQ-vi8s

The line that stuck with me was how you do something is how you do everything.

I follow an indian mystic named Sadhguru who had the same advice. He said if you do not know yet what to get involved in, then do everything with absolute involvement.

This I think was also the core message of the movie Soul from Pixar.

We all might earn different amounts of money in our lives but all of us have the same ability to create a meaningful life for ourselves.

Is there any other framework which can claim that it compares well to Ruby on Rails speed of development? I.e. conventions over configurations? Asking as I don’t want to learn ruby

I think the amount of people working on large enterprise systems here is a lot smaller than one would think.

Whenever a fly.io post about sqlite ends up in here, there are a scary amount of comments about using sqlite in way more scenarios than it should be.

True. I have that feeling many times that the enterprise crowd doesnt visits hacker news.

I understand the criticisms, but in my experience, MongoDB has come a long way. Many of the earlier issues people mention have been addressed. Features like sharding, built-in replication, and flexible schemas have made scaling large datasets much smoother for me. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid choice.

I'm also a career web application developer with a strong interest in AI and I think you're onto something. AI apps are today where web apps were in 1995 and there's lots of opportunity to contribute to new kinds of apps and use cases.

I started out poking around with custom LLM tools and RAG about 2 years ago and have written a series of articles[0] on Medium that might give you some good working vocabulary as well as help you pick a specialization.

The TL;DR would be to think about how the web apps you already know how to build could benefit from LLM and RAG integrations, then build those yourself using the API from a commercial model (like OpenAI). Credits are cheap enough that you can build several apps (locally, on whatever web foundation you like) and test them out while you refine your skills.

Thanks for your response. How do AI engineers ensure LLM output validation and safety measures
