Great, another chronically bankrupt country that Germany has to stand bail for.

another country to keep euro artificially low for german exports to thrive (though they don't so much lately)

It is clearly not in the benefit of Bulgaria to join a shared currency with advanced, manufacturing, positive export surplus countries like Germany.

Losing control of the currency will result in all domestic manufacturing to become more expensive (therefore incapable to compete with higher quality German goods), and all manufacturing capabilities will disappear in favour of the most cancerous form of industry, tourism. Like what happened to Greece and Portugal.

I don't know why this comment got downvoted, what it says is true. Having experienced it as a greek first hand.

My father died last week of cancer. I'm glad for the progress, but winning seems a bit much.

I'm sad to read this, as my father too is not in the best possible situation currently, cause of cancer. Wish you feel better soon and keep fond memories of him.

Really wish that this sets a trend like iOS 7 did and move forward from this bland flat design that exists everywhere

Can someone explain to me why EU VAT is considered a tariff, while US sales taxes are not? They both seem a sale tax to me.
charamis · 4 months ago
Really wondering about the same, since VAT is applied to everything too, not only imported products and services.

I don't understand why you chose a Turkish word (Μελτέμι) and you didn't choose Ετησίαι which is exactly the very same thing...
charamis · a year ago
I haven't even heard Ετησίαι and I come from a town that has often Μελτέμια in August

Yeah TIL and now I’m done with that

Overcast is at least independent, so I’ll go back to them for now.

It's obvious that you're somehow personally involved in this situation, since you have filled this thread with multiple comments which range from dismissive to plain rude. And the whole thread reeks of comments who just try to frame company's CEO as irrational, which contribute next to nothing to understanding the two companies' dispute, while raising some disbelief for their motive in the first place.

Of course it’s graffiti and it’s still imposing on others against their will, regardless of whether it’s peak narcissist Banksy or someone else. Is very much about transgression and imposition and sadistic domination for personalities like Banksy and graffiti artists in general; it’s precisely why they put their “art” in other people’s things against their will.

So if I graffiti your car because I believe it improves your car; would that be ok with you? It’s art. You should be happy, right?

In what kind of city do graffiti happen on cars and households? mostly it's on public property
