Right now, are focusing on original sequels and releasing new titles based on analytics of popular books in the app. The nice thing about being in business for a couple of years is that we can now assess, with data, which books and IP were hits and which fell flat. For now, going to keep our focus on North America but in the future, most certainly we have a desire to localize IP based on regions. As someone who grew up in Karachi, for example, I would love to see versions of our books where the characters are more relatable to locals.

Does North America also cover Quebec? :P Congrats Anisa!

The older versions of 1Password are BYOH, bring your own hosting. I use it because I don’t want a single source of failure. My information is encrypted and stored in another cloud service. It doesn’t matter if that cloud service is breached. It doesn’t matter if 1Password is breached.

It's a shame because it's an excellent product, I really wish 1P understood this. Their removal of the cloud sync feature and insistence on moving to a subscription-based model is infuriating and drove me away from them. I want to be in control of where my vault is synced to and the only way of doing that is by staying stuck with the older 1Password 7.

I have an LG C1, which is an amazing TV, but even after disabling every single ad-related option, I'll still occasionally get a pop-up ad when the TV turns on.
casenjo · 3 years ago
Interesting! I have the same TV and never see ads (I'm on the latest WebOS update). My Pi-Hole actually blocks everything and the only times when I see ads are when I disable the blocking to be able to access the app store.

Edit: To clarify, ads served on the WebOS interface. YouTube ads are still there.

I was, up until I started reporting them to the Canadian Anti Spam website and they stopped shortly after that.

Find a workshop manual for your car and it will be drawn inside it. Because car is more-less a faraday cage, there are coax cables [0] going from ECUs to antennas. Some ECUs, like eCall have also backup GSM antenna integrated, but you will see the PCB antenna just next to GSM / GPS connector. On VAG cars it is usually easy to remove as well.

Are workshop manuals limited to authorized service dealers somehow? I'm curious how difficult they are to find

In case anyone has the Roborock S5 and wants to use Valetudo, I wrote a small HowTo on how to install it using a Mac (I found the original guide a little confusing).

Link to the guide: https://flodan.github.io/blog/articles/roborock-valetudo-mac...

Maybe it is helpful to someone

Haaaa great write-up! I was in that situation and ended up repurposing a Raspberry Pi to make sure it would fully work. Didn't wanna take the risk of bricking it so soon after getting it haha

+1 for this project, I'm glad it's getting visibility. It's an excellent add-on for the robots that are compatible, especially for all the privacy-conscious people that want smart devices in their homes.

I jailbroke my LG TV. So I have shell access but also have a decent smart TV, and I removed all the ads. Also have ad free Youtube. I like it a lot more now.

Did you follow a guide for this or did it on your own? A write-up would be amazing, I'd love to have ad-free Youtube on my C1

1Password. They've taken a fantastic password manager and are slowly moving it to a subscription-based product. They're slapping in the face the very users that helped them get to where they are and are removing local vault syncing with the new 1Password 8. Now I'm faced with the choice to not continue updating the apps (which, if I do so in iOS, I'm screwed because I won't be able to downgrade it) or to start using a new password syncing solution.

Any of the Kickstarter projects I've participated in. I used an alias for my Kickstarter account and I know for a fact that at least one of those projects sold my email because now I get random Kickstarter-type project emails in my spam folder.
