Did you even open the article? Following is literally in first paragraph

> This package offers the same high level json.Decoder API but higher throughput and reduced allocations

Anyone else think YouTube Premium is pretty reasonably priced? You are getting a music streaming service on top of ad free YouTube. I've been very happy with it since subscribing.
bsdnoob · 2 years ago
Probably not because I still get ads with YouTube Premium.

Sucks that there isn’t anything simpler than k8s that’s production grade.

Maybe it’s time to yolo with a regular container that just restarts on failures, ha…

Do you have some examples of someone being “cancelled” in this way?

The biggest problem with Java is... the walled garden, the snob society, the elitist, exclusive culture.

Go isn't like that, or at least wasn't when G+ was still around.

Nowadays I don't get in touch much with people, but when I create issues Go people are usually not as unfriendly as Java/JVM people.

bsdnoob · 2 years ago
Imo problem with Java is... JVM because it's quite a resource intensive application itself, memory usage is orders of time magnitude worse than most of the language I've used.

Same here. Dont understand why not more ppl switched to alpine on the desktop. It is my daily driver. Plus LXD for stuff I must do (typically spawn ubuntu, etc.)

my whole PDE (Personal Developer Environment) is within a container. Need python? Shell into (via dmenu) python container. All with complete neovim setup. Need a GUI? No problem. Spawn a container. My lxd profile is set up for this. Use chezmoi for heavy automated stuff.

My base alpine system always stays clean.

By any chance can you share how you do this practically?

When Goland launched it wasn't that much different from IntelliJ IDEA with the Go plugin. In the intervening years it has come to feel like a significantly better product than that combination.

I'm curious to hear what really is the difference between GoLand and IDEA Ultimate with go plugin other than flashy startup banner.

How is fp64? Nvidia crippled the 4090 to just 1.3T fp64 flops so if a mac mini with m1 could match that it'd be a solid win
