The problem is that in practice in a database NULL is a placeholder for a missing value, not an unknown value.

And to further apply semantics to this just to be snide, the value is only "missing" if it could possibly ever be defined for that tuple. There are cases where you expect the value to be "missing", and it not being "missing" would be considered a data integrity issue. Fun.

I was going to say "when I was a kid, raves happened out in the woods where there is no real estate cost", but then I realized the lack of socializing or risky behaviours pretty much eliminates this form of partying today, haha. It's also impossible for kids living in most population centres. I guess it was just a weird rural-kid thing here in Western Canada.

I wasn't a raver but I went to a couple, and wow, what a time. There's nothing quite like the smell of a diesel generator and the sound of earth-shaking bass surrounded by dancing zombies inventing dance moves on each beat, deep in a pacific north west forest. I had a few of friends who were into that scene.

This is still how we do it in Mexico, but instead of the woods, its in a Arroyo, wedged between a mountain and a beach. Good stuff.

It also helps that we're still only in January!

My childhood friend did this with his buddies. In our 20s they bought a big house in the suburbs and each had a room. They lived in that for a few years, and then when people started sprouting kids, some of them moved into the same building that was run as a coop. Eventually a lot of them were living in this coop.

So now when I go back to see him there's all these people there that I've known since forever, living in the same building. It's oddly comforting. They've struck the just-right balance between being too close and too far apart. They see each other regularly but there isn't a gathering every day.

Can I ask what country that is in?

Use Open API and then something like https://stoplight.io/ and you will get first class API docs that automatically update with your spec changes.

Is it possible to pipe data from the forms directly to custom API endpoints and control the shape of the JSON payload that is sent?

The fact that the XHR/network console on Chrome doesn't format JSON responses is insane. Your in the most popular browser in the world and you have to copy paste the JSON into a formatter to read it?? Really??

Nice strawman.

Apache Maven can be fast and easily sub 10 second if you just use in a straight-forward manner.

From an arbitrary mid-sized project: About 400 classes split into 10 submodules. Clean build without tests: 3.7 seconds.

Introduce spring and friends and prepare to see that number jump up at least 4-5x
