...he said that “solving” FSD is “really the difference between Tesla being worth a lot of money and being worth basically zero."

Why? As a consumer, I would be thrilled with an affordable vehicle with a powerful and reliable electric drivetrain, top-of-class range, comfortable features and sensible UI, and flawless fit-and-finish.

That should be what the company strives for in the medium term. Stop the fixation on tech that's a decade+ out and magnet for lawsuits and penalties from regulators. Make the best made-for-human vehicles out there, and become the most successful auto manufacturer. Keep working on moonshots but treat them as such.

But Tesla is not affordable, and doesn't have flawless fit-and-finish

You know companies have budgets right? you can not just "hire more people" and remain profitable, no profit no company.

Companies are not charities created to employ people.

So sure if only 1 person is off on leave most likely another person could be hired

But 5 years of protected leave..... What percentage of the work force is going to be out on that? Also since it is very hard to terminate someone in the EU, what happens to the employees that are "filling" the positions of those people out on 5 years of leave? can they be terminate or do you have to keep them employed even after the original employee returns?

If you can be terminated would you take a job knowing the second the parent returns you will be terminated

Parental leave should be measured in weeks, not years. If you want to be a stay at home parent for years, leave the work force and then return...,.

And is for things like this that libertarians shouldn't make laws

The current leftist Government is giving the media hundreds of millions of euros in subsidies. Of course, that creates expectations and obligations on what media will report.

My God, what the heck are you saying, most of the media in Spain is right wing

Net result is there's not enough trains for everybody so 3-hour delays are not rare. RENFE warned Government free tickets for everybody on short notice was simply not doable. They didn't listen. News will not report this, of course, they would lose their subsidies.

Your link has nothing to do with free tickets, it is a train problem

Sorry, I should have clarified I meant when it's hot, which I think was what OP meant in the context of AC. When I meant dry, is that when it's hot (like the 35+°C), it's dry, not that it's never humid. Entire days with 30+ and 100% humidity pretty much never happens in Europe.

For instance, Bilbao is quite humid right now (about 80%), but max temps are in the 25°C. Madrid is expected to reach 39°C today, but humidity is about 30%.

Spain can solve all those problems by ourselves. If the EU doesn’t let us, then Spain must leave the EU.

Yes I mean Russia. I don’t give a shit what they are doing. What’s the alternative, buying liquefied gas from the USA? Have you been paying attention to what they’ve done the past decades? Lol

It is a joke, isn't?

Don't "forget" about 1970 global freezing too.

https://climatechangedispatch.com/120-years-of-climate-scare...

Or just search "1970 global freezing".
