DrMiaow commented on A Meta-Platform for AI to Design and Build Systems [video]   youtube.com/watch?v=DCO-0... · Posted by u/DrMiaow

Instead of forcing an AI to code in programming languages built for humans, I'm building a meta-platform that AIs can self-improve their own optimal development system.

It's been a long-term (almost a decade now) project that I do in between contracts. Progress is slow, but positive.

My project is one part serious, three parts "The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations’ Millennium General Assembly" and with a tiny pinch of TempleOS, because to attempt something like this, you have to be a little bit touched.. even though now it seems that all the serious players are heading in the same direction.

When I started talking about self-improving systems, people's eyes would glaze over. Now it seems all the cool kids are doing it. I can't compete with Elon's network effect or Deep Mind's deep pockets or Zuck's team of billionaires, but I'm not going to stop, even if I come last, I'm going to finish it.

I'm currently revisiting the distributed object model that allows multiple nodes to cooperate on a single design (as per the video)

Regular (mostly daily) updates here. http://twitter.com/DrMiaow

Nice! I had no idea about "Synchronized output" mode.

I'm adding that to my CLI project. https://youtu.be/NxsaHxON350?si=319RyQPsb5AVDQj9

Nice. I was just about to embark on a small game prototype in WebGPU to learn it.

I'm going to start by rampaging through this book.

In my (hobby) field of artificial life and program generation, there is a lot of research into the energy dynamics of parasitism.

Location: Beijing, China (Australian) Remote: Yes

Willing to relocate: Yes, but.... due to my unique diplomatic status, I cannot relocate unless the price is right. I don't need to work, but I will for the right project or company.

Technologies: C, C++, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, WEBASM, NGINX, SQL, Redis, Python, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, CUDA, Video Encoding, Jupyter, PyTorch, LLMs, MPEG (Low-level video encoding), Linux, TV and Mobile development. HbbTV, ATSC 3.0 (NextTV). OpenTV. Design: Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe CS.

Hi. I'm a highly self-motivated builder and problem solver. Nominated for multiple technical Emmys. You name it, I have built it, at scale. A hands-on CTO or Engineer. Give me a team, and I will teach them how to do it right and efficiently. You will have heard about a Twitch-killing streaming system for 200M+ simultaneous viewers I worked on. You will eventually hear about my last project, a complete smart contract system designed and built from the ground up for the MDB world. I can build anything. I can find a solution to any problem. I specialise in building streaming services. If you own a TV you are likely using my software already. For money, I design and build national-scale broadcast systems. Do you want to build a Netflix? I can do that from the ground up. For fun, I am currently building a large-scale AI project in public. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqvHjXfbI8o )

Without some kind of transformation on `enum` isn't this mostly useless? `enum` is heavily used in many TypeScript code-bases.

I'm obsessed with the idea of Darwin Machines (and I think you should be too).

I've been tinkering with the idea in python but I just don't have enough ML experience.

If you, or anyone you know, is interested in Darwin Machines please reach out!

This project employs a Darwinian approach. Initially, it was an experiment in traditional program and user interface generation that incorporated evolutionary feedback into the mutation process. A combination of PG and AL. It has achieved some success with small programs and is now exploring the potential combination of LLMs
