So if I grumpily (sorry) understand this correctly, the business wants to make customers feel guilty that the business over-ordered?

The business could have been a little conservative in how many units they ordered, but no, the just couldn't give up on even one potential lost sale, so they ordered too many. The solution, put a sticker on it to try to talk a customer into buying something perhaps they otherwise wouldn't.

The alternative to over ordering is probably going to be always having shortages...

The best predictor of future events is past experience.

Every US president in history has left office peacefully, the most probable outcome is that future presidents will too.

Similarly, some people always think that the current president will crown himself a king and the Other Party will never ever be able to get into power. And these people have been so far always wrong.

I’m not saying it can’t happen this time, but in my opinion, it is unlikely.

The real skeptical in me says it doesn’t even matter, no matter who you vote for, you’ll get John McCain.

> Similarly, some people always think that the current president will crown himself a king and the Other Party will never ever be able to get into power.

As far as I know, this is the first time a president has completely disregarded civility, declared marshall law under false pretenses (not false alarm, specifically false pretenses), talked about crowning himself king, and various forms of rigging future elections.

So the fact that some people (allegedly) thought Clinton/Bush/Obama/Biden would crown themselves is pretty irrelevant.

Human rights groups have no credibility. They can reliably be found attacking men and all things masculine, like the hard decisions that Milei is taking to create prosperity. If it were up to them Argentina would be in a Peronist dictatorship forever. And the UN assembly has become a joke too. Look at their childish antics, turning escalators and microphones off to annoy Trump. It screams irrelevance and immaturity.

These institutions are scared because the people who work there know they are useless and if the government funding stops there'll be nowhere for them to go. Milei has been cutting people like that off from the spigot. Trump too. They are not unbiased actors.

Milei's "created prosperity" seems to be dead in a ditch (as far as actual Argentines are concerned) and somehow still stealing money from working class US tax payers.

It’s not often that we get to see a country peacefully change direction. I wonder what we’ll be saying about Milei in ten years?

They'll probably say mostly the same things the citizens of Ravenholm say about Wallace Breen.

A lot of schemes I've seen proposed for this end up setting up a dollar amount spammers may choose to pay while pricing out most normal people.

Unfortunately, this narrative's utility is pretty low and it's intended implications are severely weakened by the current administration's obsession with revenge, blaming everything on someone else, and persecuting political opponents. If such openly hostile and norms-breaking rhetoric did not exist before the pardons, then the pardons would appear suspicious.

>They've now been asked to appear in front of Congress to address concerns about politically motivated violence being incited through their platform

Funny how for the last 30 years of right wing violence/extremists far exceeding left wing nothing was done at all about it, no questions asked. Hush hush, don't talk about gun control or the real causes of these peoples' actions.

But then the year that left wing violence finally exceeds right wing, they all start crying that it's unacceptable and something needs to be done about it.

Source: https://www.csis.org/analysis/left-wing-terrorism-and-politi... "So far, 2025 marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing terrorist attacks outnumber those from the violent far right."

> But then the year that left wing violence finally exceeds right wing

this framing will most likely confuse most people because it's essentially a 100s of murders/mass shootings (by the right) vs 2 murders (by the left, the rest is probably property damage or whatever).

It's also going to be confusing because Luigi is not a confirmed leftist, the Kirk shooter is not a confirmed leftist, and putting aside the problematic presumption that they are before we have evidence, doing so means totalling up to approx 3 left wing murders since 2020.

But ICE's current actions would clearly be classified as right wing violence by those standards, which is overwhelmingly well documented and numerous. Some people also might not like that framing, whether it's because you're a right winger or because you're looking for info on non-state sanctioned terrorism, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to give ICE their own category in the next version of some of those charts.

Could it be that sharing conservative ideas is against Reddit's community guidelines?

There are other subreddits with primarily right or moderate leaning communities and comments in those get deleted all the time with moderator messages saying they risk the entire subreddit getting taken down by Reddit simply for sharing basic conservative views.
