The video looks all cgi. Headline bait.

It’s not even good CGI!

> Three large fries ordered at the counter costs over ten dollars.

This is kind of hilarious and depressing but I live in a high enough cost of living city in the states and I order mcd’s rarely enough that I cannot tell contextually whether your statement indicates this is overpriced or underpriced.

It depends on how recently they came out of the fryer, how fresh the oil is, and the grease-to-salt ratio.

I logged in just to say that letter animation on the main page is absolutely brilliant! Reloaded the page like 5 times to just see it again and again :) Great job! Haven't listened to the music yet though.

Apple used to excel at making the right trade off here. Choosing what feels right over numbers.

Great suggestions, I’d agree with all points!

> 6. Change "We do not store your credentials. Tasks are done in your browser" to "No data is saved. View source on GitHub."

Assuming that OP has made it clearer that this website is a CLI command builder and not a dumping tool, I’d find “No data is saved” potentially confusing. To me, it would be unclear whether “data” refers to the credentials or to the underlying database data. It might also raise the concern why a command builder utility would entertain the idea of storing anything in the first place.

Maybe “Your credentials won’t leave your computer” or so?

I would solve this by not asking for the password and just putting a password placeholder in the generated command.

The Kahe (oil powered) plant at electric beach is still operational. The coal fired power plant that shut down is a little further south of there, closer to Barbers point.
ChristianGeek · 2 years ago
It also shut down over a year ago (9/1/22).

> I had to look over pictures of parts broken from a crash and have the potential feeling of 'what-if that's my calculation gone wrong'.

Does it inevitably come down to that for someone? I mean even if its a detail that a procedure couldn’t have caught, someone is responsible for forming good procedures. I suppose there could be several factors. But it seems like ultimately someone is going to be pretty directly responsible.

Just interesting to think about in the context of software engineering and kinda even society at large where an individual’s mistakes tend to get attributed to the group.

My kids are Spanish native, and learned German and English at their 4 and 6 years of age. Never a problem. Very common here in Europe. I don't get how that could cause trouble.
ChristianGeek · 2 years ago
Think of anyone you’ve encountered whose native language is different than yours. Chances are they had an accent. The less fluent they were, or the more different their native language was to yours, the thicker the accent. The thicker their accent, the harder they were for you to understand.
