There's no way this is legit--could not find information on ANY of the people listed on the site. Backgrounds look like they are in a huge office, but in reality the address they show on their site appears to be a residential building, but the flat number they specify does NOT exist (in Spain the public Catastro lists not only buildings but also the layout of the buildings, and flat 1-D does not exist, it only has from 1-A up to 1-C, see: https://www.idealista.com/maps/madrid-madrid/avenida-betanzo...).
Also, they try to look professional and big (there appears to be a huge office with many people on it) but... this is crowdfunded?
A possible explanation is a design student's project for a portfolio, or a startup's obligatory fibs. I suspect your explanation is the most accurate of these.
It might not be legit, but I think you are being too harsh. The second and higher floors of that building have D units. It is not uncommon for floors in buildings like that to be carbon copies. The D unit might just be commercial space and listed separately or not at all. The owner could have removed it from the listing because it was commercial, or maybe the owner of this thing also owns the building. Making a phone is not a poor man's passion project. Secondly, without knowing how they intend to implement this you can't really draw many conclusions. Startup companies don't need huge offices to start with and the manufacturing is almost always in Asia.
Don't know but at least the people in the Photos with what they do is found on Linkedin. Don't know where you looked or how deep, but it seems there is something.
I can't help, but get generated vibes from the photos of the team. It just might be the focus of the camera, alongside my lack of trust for any images I see online these days!
Note how the team member 'Pedro Echanove' has a mobile device on his screen with a physical keyboard. The desk in front of him doesn't have a chair. The team member 'Carlos Rodríguez' has a large screen on a desk behind his with lines of code, for what purpose?
Maybe it's real, maybe it's just staged for the photo, but it could be hints towards some weirdness.
I'm gonna say the people are real but they're green screened onto AI backgrounds. Although the man leaning on the pillar one is just uncanny for multiple reasons.

I'm calling bullshit here
If you have to ask how much it costs, you're not going to like the answer.
Also no "order here" button.
Also, i'm making an even better phone.. with 64 gigs of ram! and 4tb of storage! And blackjack and hookers! Crowdfunding link >here<
How much does it cost?
Edit: backgrounds are stock photos: https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/young-man-using-tec...

All the backgrounds look to come from a different, very generic place the same, so definitely generated.
Did the site crash/reset/got hacked?
Probably it's just the HN hug o' death.
That's odd
