I am primarily interested in applied projects that make a difference and aim to tangibly reduce human and animal suffering: med R&D, eco, civil infra, pharma or space, but may consider other projects as well.

Location: Armenia (UTC+4) [temporary]

Remote: Yes (flexible working hours including US timezone)

Willing to relocate: Yes, preferably to country with high HDI

Technologies: technology agnostic. Boring and incomplete list of things I have worked with: frontend (React, Vue, Vite/Webpack, Typescript), backend (Go, Node, Python, Java, PHP, Erlang, Clojure), databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Memcached, ES, MongoDB), ops (Linux, *sh, K8s, Docker, VMs, IPMI, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Nginx, HAProxy, AWS, GCP, baremetal, on-call), ML (coding, [cross-]validating models, deploying, simulated envs), networks (all OSI levels), low-level (C, Ziglang, CUDA, assembly), hardware (MCUs, AVR, I²C, SPI, prototyping).

Résumé/CV: I have ~15 YoE and worked with a number of startups and projects, both as independent contractor and team leader. Check my GitHub to get rough overview: https://github.com/seletskiy and https://github.com/reconquest. Please contact me for more details.

Location: bay area (prefer eastbay)

Remote: Yes

Willing to relocate: Yes

Technologies: C (embedded/DSP), JS (both frontend and node), Python (DS/ML instrumentation, not an expert)

I've played with Verilog, Rust and Go enough to be dangerous.

Résumé/CV: Spent the last few years contracting, looking for fulltime work in order to start a family. 10YoE mostly in startups in the bay area, did a longer stint writing internal tools at an ISP.

Recent projects include:

- designed a ground up system for impactor tracking at 40khz

- ui for wind turbine data monitoring (getting a PLC to put a user-friendly UI on the network)

- tool for previewing LED control software in the browser that lets the user live-code embedded C and see a preview of the LEDs in realtime

- taught my plotter to do full color watercolor (brush tip dynamics compensation, a bunch of complicated color math)

- built a local vLLM RAG assistant (who hasn't) and a photo -> pixel art fantasy portrait pipeline, familiar with finetuning LLMs and diffusion models

Email: thot@thiic.cc

My ideal job would be as an early engineer somewhere that does hardware, I love writing embedded C and I have plenty of experience with frontend web dev, so I think my ideal position is somewhere where both skillsets can be utilized. I'd be happy to work on anywhere with a decent culture and interesting problems to be solved.

I have deep experience with frontend, backend, ML, traditional enterprise development, scientific software, low level systems, have architected enterprise software and led a small startup team from inception to acquisition. My most widely used project serves 12+ million monthly active users (big tech, enterprise C# and ReactJS) while another recent project (backend C++ and Rust, custom time series database) serves 1k+ simultaneous clients per node millions of writes per second. I'm open to either full time or part time contracts.

I'm a full-stack software developer with 10 years of experience building and maintaining web applications, services, and software in general. I'm versatile and experienced wearing many hats and working everywhere across the stack (which I greatly enjoy). I love delivering meaningful solutions that solve real problems while continuously improving engineering processes and empowering teams.

I'm currently leading the development of a critical user-facing API serving millions of users per month. My time spent is split between developing features, setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, setting up local development processes, and providing mentoring to team members.

I'm looking for a senior level engineering role, preferably remote. I am open to working with various technologies and can quickly integrate into any stack.
