Let's see, Oppenheimer got canned in the 50s, so this is... 70 years too late? They put him through hell. Unthinkably ironic, really, considering his military contributions to the US.

The security clearance he was stripped of was set to lapse a day afterward anyhow. After all his effort and contributions, he was attacked out of spite.

Getting ahead of the upcoming film by Christopher Nolan perhaps?

Is it really worth anyone's time revisiting the security clearance of someone who died 60 years ago?

Perhaps we should see if every citizen in New York paid the correct taxes in the 18th century too...? And then we can name and shame anyone who was a tax dodger... Or maybe we correlate DNA records with birth and death records so we can make a list of all the illigitimate children of the 1700's?

> the security clearance of someone

> we should see if every citizen

This is a case study rather than a general study. To answer your question, it may very well be worth studying this case even if it's not worth studying in general.
